Hey there! my name is jordan konsor (formerly richter), and I’m an artist out of des moines, iowa. I have a long background in art that began with lessons from my mom, who owned an art studio in downtown des moines called studio virtu. i fully dove into art when i was very young, taking lessons at both my moms studio, and the des moines art center whenever i had the opportunity. i remained fully zoned into art throughout high school and ended up attending the kansas city art institute for one year of undergrad before transferring to iowa state university. In 2018, I graduated from the art & visual culture program with a bachelor of fine arts, specializing in painting & ceramics. i love practicing all forms of art and have a hard time picking between 2d & 3d arts.

since college, i have had a few non-art related jobs that have taught me much needed life skills , but i’ve found that i am still constantly pulled back to the creative world. in the end of 2024, and shortly after getting married (woo!), i finally decided to jump back in and try to make the artist life work (sorry, hubby).

outside of art i have many (probably too many) interests and hobbies. when i’m not being creative or making art you can find me chillin’ with my 3 cats (Jerry, Chip, & opal), playing video games (big sims & palia girly), working in my garden and enjoying the outdoors, thrifting, doing projects around my home, and watching movies (& logging them in letterboxd, of course) with my husband, austin!
